Collision Between Quebec City Engine And A Semi-trailer
April 9, 2007
Quebec - A collision between Quebec City Engine 203 and a semi-trailer truck left firefighters fearing for the worst when they found out one of their brothers had been ejected from the vehicle and that the officer was trapped in the cab. While paramedics rushed the operator to the hospital, Quint 305's crew used the jaws of life to extricate the lieutenant from his position.
Surprisingly, the driver was soon released from the hospital after being treated for cuts and bruises. The officer remained longer, suffering broken bones and injuries to his face.
Initial reports indicate Engine 203's cab has been damaged beyond repair.
